SPA offers regular public training courses on sustainable packaging issues covering:
- Environmental regulations and their implications for the packaging industry;
- Consumer perceptions of packaging;
- Environmental impacts of packaging materials;
- Ecodesign strategies and case studies;
- Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and other tools for evaluation of packaging strategies; and
- Environmental communication and marketing.
In-house training programs are also provided to meet specific organisational needs eg Building commitment to sustainable packaging development, Packaging Sustainability for Brand Managers. These range from 2-hour introductory sessions for all staff through to 1-2 day courses for designers and technologists.
